Randy Galloway
Events & PJ Rodeo

Randy Galloway retired in 2017 as a Colonel in the Air National Guard, after 35 years…

of total military service, serving as a PJ, a flight surgeon, a Medical Group Commander and the State Air Surgeon of Connecticut.

His active-duty time was spent as a PJ starting in 1979, until he left active duty to pursue…a medical degree in 1994. Anyone who knows “Doc Galloway” prior to that MSgt Galloway, knew him to always have a camera handy, video, still or both.

As a consummate photographer, Randy was ready to capture that special moment, and with that career, there were many special moment.

He became the President of the PJ Association in 2000 and held the position for 6 years, serving now as emeritus non-voting member of the PJ Association Board of Directors. Due to his proximity to the leadership of the PJA over the past 23 years, he has been able coordinate photographic needs that have tested his photography skills to capture many of the Rodeo’s and Reunions events since then.

Randy retired from his Emergency Medicine physician career in 2021 just prior to the Tucson Reunion.  His wife Lisa usually accompanies him to the PJ reunions, but had previous commitments this year that kept her from the festivities.  He currently lives with her in Traverse City Michigan, where he is continuing to pursue his photography passion while learning new aspects of the creative processes within that milieu.
