Greetings to all,
There is growing enthusiasm here as the planning and preparations for the reunion enter the final month.
Karen and Dave Pickering have taken on the golf tournament assuring a good time for the duffers. Put that on your schedule and let Karen know, her contact info is with the announcement below. Thirty~two slots, let's fill 'em!!!!!!
Karen is also ramrodding the Thur shopping trip so check in with her about that; all her info is in the next section.
Attached is the latest tentative schedule. If you can't open it wait a while and then check the website. Please note we are trying to offer van transport from/to the Tucson airport. The cost will be less than any local service but will require a little patience but send me your travel schedule {wpreble@hotmail.com} so we can determine the level of interest as well as get you on the transport list.
We are also trying to set up our own transport from the Phoenix airport for around $35/ea but that will take a little more time and co~ordination. Like the Tucson folks, please let me know your travel schedule. However, Sunday departures back to Phoenix could leave the hotel earlier than you might want; we'll keep you posted. Meanwhile, the contact info for the commercial shuttle to Tucson is: {http://www.arizonashuttle.com/}.
Folks in wheelchairs please contact me {wpreble@hotmail.com} to be sure we get you the right POC.
Please note on the schedule we are also planning to offer transport to various shopping and tour locations. There are about 3~4 primary locations we plan for transport, besides the reunion venues and that is Pima Air & Space Museum {http://www.pimaair.org/}, Old Tucson {http://www.oldtucson.com/} and The Desert Museum {http://www.desertmuseum.org/}. Please don't prepurchase any tickets as we already have discount coupons. The golfers will have their own transport as will the folks going shopping with Karen Pickering on Thur. Except as noted, we expect the cost of transport to run $10 except for paid venues such as the BBq and banquet.
Thanks to the folks who have volunteered to drive vans but we could still use more drivers. The locations around town are easy to find and, if anything you can be sure you have a ride.
In a few weeks I hope to be able to report on the vendors who will be with us and if there might be some good deals with them.
